Liz seeks to achieve timely and satisfactory resolutions to employment issues. She supports and advises individuals and businesses through a wide range of employment law issues such as unfair, constructive and wrongful dismissal, discrimination in respect of the protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010, whistleblowing, redundancy and TUPE.
As an employment solicitor with over 8 years experience, Liz is credited for achieving good results in several different discrimination cases, and multi claimant cases, both at Employment Tribunal and via settlement prior to final hearing. In particular, Liz has achieved settlements in an age discrimination case where the Claimant was repeatedly asked when he would be retiring and a disability discrimination case where the Claimant had to wait years for reasonable adjustments.
Given the number of employment cases she has been involved in, her key piece of advice is to seek an early settlement, as it will be beneficial to all involved.
She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association which enables lawyers to keep up to date on current employment law developments which benefits the delivery of legal advice to clients.
Away from employment law, Liz is learning to play the piano, finds time for a run and enjoys spending time with family (including her five grandchildren).
